Our Georgia Vacation

Back to blogging, with a few notes on a trip completed more than a month ago!

Is this loggerhead looking for an honest man?

It's been nearly a month since I posted my last entry here, and I don't even have a good excuse, so I'd just better get on with this, even if it's short.

On Easter Sunday morning, Peg and I flew to Atlanta to start a week-long vacation that included visiting Janice, staying a few days at Callaway Gardens, and seeing a few other notable places in the area.

We took lots of pictures, many of which are posted on our smugmug site. There are three galleries, for photos from Atlanta, Callaway Gardens and Warm Springs, and Chattanooga. I posted the photos about two weeks ago, but only added most of the captions yesterday. Janice also has lots of pictures.

It was a fine trip. We visited with Janice on Sunday and Monday, headed down to the Callaway area on Tuesday, and came back to Atlanta on Friday afternoon. On Saturday, Janice took us to Chattanooga, and we flew back home on Sunday.

One odd feature of the trip was that we seemed to see (and photograph) turtles everywhere we went. (Of course, it probably helped that we visited two major aquariums, a fish hatchery, and a lake-studded resort.)

You'll find more about our trip in our photo galleries than here, but be prepared to see more than a few turtles, and lots of azaleas.
